Colorstrology is a fun little tool sponsored by Pantone to help you discover - in case something...just...doesn't...seem...right - what colors you should surround yourself with based on your birth date.

I admit that I am sucker for this kind of thing. I clicked on March and it came up aqua. This is not entirely surprising considering I am a Pisces, which is a water sign, but OK. Let's move on.



I then picked out my birth date, March 10th, and was immediately suckered. OHMYGOD, it totally is important that I demonstrate my talents! This makes me feel vital and alive! Compassion - yes! Empathy - yes! Depth - yes! I am Mother Theresa swathed in Pantone 12-0426!



I would recommend that you try this, but what happens if you find out that you have to paint your entire house some ungodly Pantone color and live in a violent chartreuse hellhole? That would be bad and then you'd hate me.

Eye Break: Riyaz Design

I may have mentioned that I have a little thing for miniature paintings. It started in Turkey and went slightly haywire in India. I've got the mini bug - big time.

Then I saw something in Elle Decor many moons ago that caught my eye. Miniature...but different.



Riyaz Design is collaboration between English artist, Alexander Gorlizki and master miniature painter, Riyaz Uddin. They live and work in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where Alexander creates the composition and Riyaz executes the design using single hair brushes and hand-ground pigments. The result is a playful and celebratory subversion of a 400 year-old tradition:
