Remember when I said I wasn't going to buy a pajaki and then bought one? And had to go deep into the bowels of industrial Brooklyn endangering life and limb to pick it up from FedEx? And then let it sit around for about two weeks in the box before motivating to hang it up* while The Fucking Cats threatened to shred it to bits?
Yeah.
So this is the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning, and I'll be damned if it doesn't make my life about a thousand times happier. Apologies for the craptastic photo I took this morning with my blackberry, which was presses against my face as I slept in the manner of a crazy person.
The pajaki is hanging from a cheap plastic ceiling medallion we got at Home Despot (much like this one - I think we should have gone bigger, but whatevs) that covers a hole in the ceiling where there was once a menacing hole. We glued a brass cap thingy to the center of the medallion to close things up, painted over thew whole dealio and drilled in a white hook with a toggle bolt at the end. The medallion needs about fifty more years of paint jobs to look like it's made of plaster, but it's fine for now.
*By which I mean, motivating Fauxhawk to hang it up, because hanging things is not in my purview.
P.S. Ceiling medallion madness.
P.P.S. I think I owe you more answers to your questions.
