A favor

Hi kids,

I know I’ve been silent and posting very little these days. I guess I’ve needed to hibernate a bit and gather my thoughts for a while. It seems that every week brings a series of twists and turns that I’m struggling to understand and respond to, and this has left me feeling a bit worn out. My sense of humor and my imagination have also taken an extended vacation in Boca Raton, and I am left to face a series of difficulties without them. Frankly, I’m a bit pissed that Humor and Imagination are too busy drinking Zima and getting their acrylic nails done to help me out. I’m not used to being without them.

There are some things I want to tell you, but can’t right now. It’s not the right time. Hang with me for a while and I’ll be back with some interesting stories. I may even post something silly again. In the meantime, I want to thank you all for being so sweet to me (Jen, Tokyo Gal, Maryam, Corky, and my silent virtual friends) – I feel buoyed by your support. And my girlhood girls – what would I do without you?

But before I go, I want to ask you all a favor: Will you send me a line, a word, an image, a song or book title, a memory, an anecdote that inspires you in some way? I could use some inspiration.
