Oh blog babies, I've been blue without you. Work has been intense - except for the part where I giggled uncontrollably for HALF AN HOUR when someone said "digital probe" during a "behavioral training" session. (Clearly, I need more behavioral training.) That was basically the highlight of my very busy work week.
I've been trying to revive my interest in wedding planning, but have done nothing productive beyond discovering a bridal makeup tutorial featuring an English rose who transforms herself into a Moldovan sex worker left for dead in a shipping container.
Which is just the look I'm going for.
Speaking of which, I've been so inspired by classical beauty lately - the freshness and delicacy seem so lovely for a bride.
This Greek-inspired empire waisted dress would make me look pregnant with triplets, but it's so irresistibly charming. I want to walk through a field of bluebells in it - with Colin Firth playing my groom.
Diadems. Can't get enough of them.
I've become obsessed, scouring the interweb for ancient greek hair ornaments. Suddenly I'm experiencing strange crafting impulses. E.g.: What if I craft a diadem out of gold foil and wire and wear it on my head instead of a veil?! Craftacular!
Aren't these gold flowers are craftaculous?!
And then there's the whole question of bridesmaids dresses - treacherous waters to navigate. Matchy-matchy or mix-and-match? I'm digging on the unified look of these hotties from Crete, but don't want to torture my friends. I will totally make them wear Jessica Simpson hair extensions though. That's a given.
Images from all over the joint - forgive me for not having the links.
