Have any of my fellow New Yorkers seen this ad campaign by the Metropolitan Museum of Art?
The photographs - some silly, some romantic, some abstract - were submitted by visitors of the museum as part of the "It's Time We Met" marketing campaign contest. You can view the winners in the Met's flickr pool here. It's wonderful to see how people captured the giddy pleasure of enjoying art in such a natural, spontaneous way.
I've been enjoying this ads so much while riding the subway to work in the morning. They're just another reason why I dearly love the Met - despite its awe-inspiring collection, reputation, and endowment), the museum always strives to remain approachable and accessible to its visitors.
Here are two from the group pool that didn't win but are fabulous nevertheless:
Top: Michael Benevento. Bottom: Love Light.
