I know it's sad that Domino is folding, but if something ever happened to House Beautiful, I'd lose the will to live. I've been salivating all over the March issue all week - so color-drenched, so beautiful, so...grown-up. I like that HB doesn't try to be trendy or cute; it's unabashedly classic, with wonderful online resources for inspiration and practical advice.
I could live happily in any of these rooms, which are featured in an article about choosing the colors that make you happy. Intellectually, I love the crisp freshness of a blue and white room, but my heart gravitates to intense, bold colors.
Hot pink and chocolate and indigo and mimosa and aubergine and...a blue Italian marble fireplace. I die. I die of pleasure.
